Every night, as part of Leyla’s bedtime routine, we (usually Brock) read her Goodnight Moon and then hang out for a few minutes to let her wind down.

She’s almost two months old already! We discovered over Thanksgiving that she likes to be propped up on some pillows in bed so that she can look around. I decided to take a quick video this morning so that you can see how she’s growing. I also have a lot of photos and videos from Thanksgiving and such to post. Will get to that as soon as I can. Video is below the cut.
We’re going to stay one more day before heading home. Everything is fine, but we want some more time with help from nurses, etc, and to take advantage of some of the newborn baby educational stuff that they do here. We should be returning home tomorrow (Saturday). I’m going to try to get one of the nurses to do a quick family photo today, which I’ll post if I get.
No more NICU for her! We’re very glad to have her back, and are probably heading home some time tomorrow.
After a period of observation and testing in the NICU, it has been decided that Leyla is healthy and fit to return to the normal nursery / Amanda’s room. She has to get one more dose of antibiotics early this afternoon, and then she will be spending more time with us.

I removed the old reception site, which was getting nothing but spam comments, and was no longer serving any useful purpose. I’ve replaced it with this, which hopefully will come to be a place where we can post updates for family and so on, particularly with the baby coming soon.
